After several moves between Arizona and Michigan, John settled in Kingman in the summer of 1984. It wasn't long before John found his way to Praise Chapel. John met his wife Kathy in the spring of 1985, and they were married on May 31,1986. By the time John was 22 years old, he was pastoring a small church in Needles, California. John and Kathy stayed in Needles for 2 '/2 years before moving back to Kingman to partner with Pastor Howard Pennington. John has been a faithful servant to the Praise Chapel Kingman congregation ever since.
In 1991, John started Jacob's Ladder. His primary vision was to have a faith based, 12 step program to help bring healing and deliverance to people who struggled with drug and alcohol addiction. Now, over 18 years later, Jacob's Ladder is a thriving multi-faceted ministry that facilitates over 100 court appointed people each week. Jacob's Ladder offers classes in Anger Management, Chemical Dependency, and other classes which give support to domestic violence and co-dependency issues.
John's passion for helping people is very evident in the many classes he has taught throughout the years, including a ministry in training series, and a successful marriage series.
John and Kathy are the proud parents of 3 wonderful children and have been happily married for over 23 years.
